Action task
Arrange healthcare and emergency contacts
Check coverage before arrival, find a local care facility, and confirm how routine care is paid. Seek emergency help immediately when needed.
Before you start
Your location, actual migration status, coverage documents and insurer assistance contact. Do not wait for paperwork in an emergency.

Steps
- Before entering or re-entering, check Migraciones and your carrier’s current health-insurance declaration process. Do not rely on an invented minimum policy amount.
- Check your policy dates, exclusions, accepted facilities, assistance number, payment method and any authorization needed for planned care. Keep these details privately.
- For routine care at national-state hospitals, permanent residents access on the same terms as Argentines; other foreigners need valid insurance or prior payment. Confirm the named facility’s policy.
- Find your nearby emergency facility and save your local emergency number. The official directory lists 911; its 107/SAME entry is for CABA and participating Buenos Aires Province localities.
- Emergency care cannot be denied or delayed for administration. Clinicians decide whether care is an emergency; care after that phase may be billed. Ask the provider about ongoing care when the urgent situation is resolved.
How to know you are done
You have a coverage plan, named local facility and emergency contacts, with payment or coverage gaps explicitly recorded.
You mark completion; eArgentina does not verify it.
