A real announcement. An opening date still to verify.
The Economy Ministry’s 2 October announcement sets out two proposed funding routes and family contributions. Q4 means October–December 2026; it is a planned opening window, not confirmation that applications can be filed today.
As of our 4 October source check, we have not verified a live official application channel, the complete fee schedule, or final operating and representative rules. Use the announcement for preparation; confirm the implementing rules before paying or filing.

What the announcement does not settle
The ministry confirms a US$800,000 public bond, but its announcement does not specify maturity, interest, redemption, or transfer terms. The seven-year, zero-interest terms circulating in reports are not treated here as verified official bond conditions.
Government, due-diligence, professional and document fees are not itemized in the announcement. The amounts in this guide are announced funding amounts, not all-in quotes.
The exact launch date, filing portal, complete document list, nationality restrictions, presence requirements and authorized-agent arrangements still need current official confirmation. We do not promise a processing time or a passport.
For adult children, confirm the final civil-status and dependency definitions and the date at which age is assessed. Do not assume that a child nearing 25 will remain eligible throughout the process.
Get a legal review before committing funds
An MPF institutional news report dated 2 July 2026 describes litigation over the 2025 transfer of citizenship proceedings to Migraciones. In the reported case, the National Electoral Chamber confirmed judicial competence and declared DNU 366/2025 null.
The cited source is a news account, not the judgment itself. It is not a decision on a prospective investment application. We have not reviewed the underlying judgment, current appeals or how the litigation affects this announced programme; the October funding announcement does not settle those questions.
Before paying or appointing a representative, ask an independent Argentine lawyer to check the current legal basis, competent decision-maker, any relevant rulings or appeals, and your remedies if approval is refused or rules change. Get official payment and refund conditions in writing.
How to prepare before applications open
- Compare a non-refundable contribution with a bond investment. Ask a qualified adviser to review liquidity, sovereign-credit exposure and the eventual bond conditions before choosing a route.
- Map the family members you want to include. Check ages, relationships and the announced conditions for adult children; do not assume every dependent qualifies.
- Privately organize your identity and family records, immigration history and evidence explaining the lawful origin and movement of your funds. These are preparation categories, not an official document checklist. Wait for formal requirements before ordering translations or legalizations.
- Arrange individual legal and tax review in Argentina and your current country. Citizenship, immigration residence and tax residence are distinct questions; a funding amount alone does not answer them.
- Verify the official filing and payment instructions, fees and representative authority at launch. Keep personal documents and funds with the authorized parties handling your case.
Who decides, and what gets checked?
The Agency for Citizenship by Investment Programs (APCI) evaluates the case and recommends approval or rejection. The National Migration Directorate (DNM) makes the citizenship decision under Decree 524/2025.
The new announcement describes identity, source-of-funds, financial, criminal, reputational and immigration-history checks. Meeting an announced funding amount does not guarantee approval.
The decree’s 30-working-day decision period starts after DNM receives APCI’s report. It is not a 30-day end-to-end application or passport promise.
Your starting point for Argentina CBI
eArgentina makes official CBI information usable for foreigners: source-linked terms, family comparisons, preparation guidance and dated updates. This is independent information, not a government application portal or a claim of authorized-agent status.
We do not accept CBI applications, collect identity documents or take investment payments. Application assistance and professional referrals will require verified program rules and a clearly disclosed service before they can be offered.

Luis Caputo anunció la puesta en marcha del Programa de Ciudadanía por Inversión de Argentina
Change note: Pricing and the planned opening window were announced on 2 October; implementation still needs verification.
Applies when: Foreigners evaluating the announced citizenship-by-investment program.
What remains uncertain: This announcement does not establish a live filing channel, full fees or final bond conditions. The Q4 window is a plan, not evidence that filing is open.
Get case-specific review when: You are assessing eligibility, committing funds or appointing a representative.
Family contributions
The announced additional Treasury contributions are US$100,000 for a spouse, US$100,000 per child aged 18–25 who is unmarried and has no children, and US$25,000 per child under 18. A main applicant, spouse and two minor children total US$500,000 on the contribution route.

Programa de Ciudadanía por Inversión — aportes familiares
Change note: The 2 October announcement specified family categories and amounts.
Applies when: An applicant seeking to include family members with evidence of the relationship.
What remains uncertain: Final dependent eligibility and extra fees need verification. The US$950,000 bond-family example is our arithmetic: US$800,000 plus US$150,000 in family contributions.
Get case-specific review when: You are assessing eligibility, committing funds or appointing a representative.
Application framework
Decree 524/2025 assigns APCI the evaluation and recommendation, and DNM the final citizenship decision. Its 30-working-day DNM period begins on receipt of APCI’s report, not when an applicant starts the process.

Change note: Existing procedure checked on 3 October 2026 alongside the new pricing announcement.
Applies when: Foreigners evaluating the announced citizenship-by-investment program.
What remains uncertain: The decree is the existing framework; it does not set the newly announced prices, the total processing time or a passport-delivery timetable. The current legal footing also needs review in light of citizenship litigation.
